Problem with Paypal Website Payments Standard
« on: 11/September/2008, 08:21:06 PM »
Hi,

Using Joomla 1.0.15 & nBill v1.2.1

I am using a trial version of nBill and I have created a form which allows users to select various options and each option has a monetry value assigned to it, the form works fine but when I click on submit it takes me to the paypal site an error occurs:

"Data does not match input character set or default encoding. For more information, please contact the merchant."

Im not sure if this is becuase I am using a trial version or whether its a problem with my form, you can view the form at:

http://www.ecodrycleaningdirect.co.uk/index.php?option=com_netinvoice&action=orders&task=order&cid=2

For the purpose of testing I have only activated one option which submits a money value.

Please help - I want to try and get resolved before the trial runs out - tomorrow.

I have seen a couple of posts with the same problem - but no explanation of how they resolved it.

Thanks

I just tried filling in your order form and submitting, and I did not get this error message. Do any of your products have any accented characters or special symbols in their description? Paypal often cannot handle anything like that. Does it only happen when a specific product is ordered?
