Reminders translation
« on: 10/March/2012, 10:06:01 AM »
Hello,

I configured reminders and translated them using JoomFish, but nBill sends reminders in English to all clients.
Have i missed something?

Regards,
Alex.

Unfortunately, Joom!Fish can only translate the text if Joomla itself is running in the target language. When executed from a cron job, Joomla will run in the default language. However, if you use the standard message for each reminder type, it will be translated into the language of the client (since that does not rely on Joom!Fish, nBill can go ahead and pick up the value from the language file itself). So as long as you don't need more than one message for each reminder type, you can just customise the language file (reminders.language.php), and use that default text for the reminder message.

How should i force nBill to use text from the language file?
I've translated that file, but reminder was sent with translated subject and untranslated body.

Regards,
Alex.

Use the default text - you might need to select another reminder type, then put it back again to 'reset' it so it knows it is using the default, not an overridden value.

Seems to work fine when I test it - are you using the latest version of nBill? If so, please submit a support ticket as I would need access to your site to investigate.
