Variants of similar quote forms
« on: 09/December/2011, 10:27:23 AM »
Hello,

I'm setting up a series of quote forms that have a lot of similarity but also include product specific questions.

Rather than skip pages or answer irrelevant questions in one big form, which is off-putting to a new client, I'd like to give the client the option to choose the appropriate form. However creating each form from scratch seems the only option.

Is there a way to "clone" a basic form and then amend it for the specific products appropriate to the client?

Kind regards,
Alex

In the next release (due out next week), you will be able to click on the title of the form you want to copy (to enter the form editor), then click the 'Save Copy' toolbar button. In the current release this only works with order forms, not quote request forms.

Thanks, that's great news. I can defer the big redesign till then and just do the essential work now.

Thanks for the heads up!
