PSP Workaround?
« on: 23/July/2007, 07:24:06 PM »
I can see the biggest hurdle is going to be payment gateways. We can use Paypal but Google or even better, ePDQ would be a godsend. I'm not a great coder but will have go at writing a custom script for one of these using the instructions provided.

Just a thought.....
There is an alternative we have used in the past and that is Mals E-commerce. I admit it is a bit long-winded and can add an extra 'step' in the process but the reason we have used Mals is that he already has integration set up for many of the major PSP's. So basically you just have to worry about the integration with Mals and his system will do the rest. You can also post directly to the payment pages of his system which also offers the SSL needed.

It does cost a little extra but not much and I am thinking this may be a good intermediate solution for those waiting for PSP Plugins.

Any thoughts or should I go back under my rock??

After version 1.1.2 is released as stable (coming later today!), the next priority will be writing new payment gateways. I haven't heard of Mals, but to be honest, I think it is unlikely to be very useful because nBill needs to perform some very specific processing when payment is confirmed by a callback from the payment service provider.
