Version 1.1.1 is now available from the
downloads section.
This is an important new release which will make future upgrades significantly easier. To upgrade this time, you will have to uninstall Netshine Billing, and install the new version (you will not lose any data, but if you are using the SECPay payment gateway or HTML2PS/PDF PDF writer, you will have to re-instate them). However, in future, it will be possible to upgrade without uninstalling, and therefore without losing your extensions.
By default, the component is set to check for new versions automatically, but not to install them. If a new version is detected, the home page will offer to download and install the new version for you when you click on the link provided. If you wish, you can set it to automatically download and install new versions without even asking - thus ensuring you are always up-to-date. If you would prefer not to even check for new versions (eg. if you are running on a local test server and don't have access to the internet), you can disable the version checking feature. These options can be set in the global configuration page. You can also manually check for new versions, and run the automatic download/install from the global configuration page.
If you find the component is taking a long time to display the home page, you may need to disable automatic version checking. If the home page does not display at all, you can bypass and switch off version checking by typing the following address into your browser's address bar (assuming you are already logged into Joomla Administrator):
http://www.mydomain.com/administrator/index2.php?option=com_netinvoice&disable_version_check=1 (where mydomain.com is your actual domain).
The documentation will be updated shortly to cover the various new features.
Here is the list of changes in this version:
- Capture of client data fields now optional (ie. you can create a standalone form, effectively unrelated to Netshine Billing, using the order form editor)

- If gateway is set to 'Not Applicable' on details tab of order form, no attempt is made to redirect to any gateway, and therefore no error message is displayed (automatically sets the $suppress_payment flag to true)
- Granular control over whether 'Pay this Invoice' links appear - can be set globally based on payment frequency of order, overridden at order level, and overridden at invoice level
- Fixed bug where order confirmation emails were not being sent to vendor email address if admin email address on the order form was left blank
- Output of CRON job script now includes description of first item on invoice in the invoice details
- You can now set multiple e-mail recipients for an order form - separate addresses with a semi-colon
- Master database update now allows you to specify a date up to which you want to run the update, and also correctly ties up income items with their corresponding invoices
- Bug fixed where order data was lost if the data contained a single quote (this was due to a problem PHP's deserialize function)
