If you create a new client put in an org name only (no contacts added to client) hit save then 'create new order for client' The client record is empty for the order and the drop down list is empty.

I also get this behavior if I do add a contact but give an organization name.

The workaround for this is to create a client with just a contact but do not fill in the org data.  Then after you create the order you can fill in the org name.

I can reproduce this issue at will in the most recent nbill.

Any results thus far?  I found another use case.  I entered an organization as a perspective and when I promote them I get the same empty behavior if I say make new order for client, and they are missing from the client drop down.

This should be fixed in 2.3.1, which is now available.

Thanks updated.

Strange the normal 'check for updates' didn't work.  I had to install manually.

Thanks for fixing this!

2 bugs in one report here then - the version check routine has not been working since 2.3.0 was released! A fix for that is now available on the 'known issues' page: http://www.nbill.co.uk/support/known-issues.html
