When I enable User Subscriptions Akeeba completely fails with a 500 error. Not sure if this is a bug or what but I need both of these tools and this sucks...Wink

I am running the following configuration:

Joomla! version: 7.0
PHP version: 5.2.13
MySQL version: 5.1.56
Akeeba Backup version: 3.3.1
NBill: 2.2.0

I just tried installing akeeba backup 3.3.1 on Joomla 1.7, but it won't run at all. In fact it is causing the whole of Joomla administrator to crash. If I comment out the code where the error occurs, it just crashes a bit further on. I will try a fresh installation of Joomla on a different server later on.

I don't know why Akeeba crashes with the nBill plugin published, but I have added an escape routine which stops the nBill plugin from running at the same time as Akeeba. Please re-download the nBill user subscription plugin and re-install.

Thank you I will let you know what happens. I do have currently 6 1.7 sites running on various servers and they are all running both Akeeba Backup and Admin Tools with no issues. Since both of these extensions (meaning NBill and Akeeba) are well coded I wonder if this is not an issue with 1.7? You might get in touch with Nicholas and see if you guys can find out what the heck is really going on...Wink

I installed it and it does leave me the ability to get into the Control Panel where it didn't before but the Akeeba component still wont work. If you would like an admin to my site I can set you up?

Can you tell me exactly what it is that is not working? I just tested it with the new user sub plugin published, and it allowed me to create a backup in the back end.

When I enable your plugin and try to go to components/akeeba it throws a 500 error. Prior to your last update it would not even let me into the control panel and I had to disable the Akeeba backup notification module that lives there.

I just setup Nicholas (Akeeba dev) with a super admin and he is going to take a look and see if he can find out what is going on. I will let you know what he finds.

I just wanted to follow up and say that Nic has fixed the issue with Akeeba backup and my initial tests show that Akeeba Backup and NBill are getting along great...

Problem solved...Wink
