Currently I use Paypal to process my transactions. Thinking of switching to a full merchant account with SSL for a more professional look. Since Nbill has so many options, just looking for a suggestion on which merchant account is best in terms of ease of implementation and most importantly fees. Rather than researching each vendor, I hoped someone might shed some light on this.

Thanks

It depends which country you are in, as most PSPs are country-specific.

The most common option for the US is authorize.net. Most nBill features are supported by the authorize.net gateway, but if you have recurring payments, auth.net do not provide an adequate callback mechanism, which means that repeat invoices cannot be marked as paid automatically (they have recently updated their API, so as soon as I get time I will look into whether this can now be supported).

I think the only other free gateway that works in the US is Worldpay, but it does not support repeat payments or free trials, however, there are some commercial gateways available from OSDCS (see nbill.co.uk home page) - I have not tested any of them though.
