In order to use nBill, you need to purchase a license key (you must first agree to the end user license agreement). You can do this by filling in the order form on the nBill website (www.nbill.co.uk). If you would like to evaluate nBill before purchasing, you can try out the online demo, or apply for a temporary license key. Temporary license keys are restricted to one per domain, and will give you full, unrestricted access to the component for a period of 35 days.

Purchasing Options

You can purchase an outright license to use the component on a single website indefinitely, or just buy a one-year license at a lower cost. For pricing, please see the nBill website. If you buy a one-year license, you will not be able to access the back-end administration functions after your license expires (you will be reminded when the key is about to expire, and after expiry, it will prompt you to enter a new license key). However, front-end features will continue to work ok even after your license has expired, so there will be no immediate impact on your customers.

Can I use the component on more than one website?

If you want to use the component on more than one website, you will need to buy a separate license key for each website. Licenses for second and subsequent sites are available at a discounted rate. Please note: You can use a single license key on both your live site and your own local test server. The component checks whether the domain starts with http://localhost, and if so, allows it to run even if the license key has been set up for a live domain.

What if I change my website address?

As a license key is restricted to a single website, changing your domain name or moving your site to a different folder will cause the component to stop working (in the back end only - the front end will continue to work). If you would like to get a new key for the new site address, there is a small administration fee for blocking your old key and issuing a new one. See the FAQs on the nBill website for details. You can also get a 35 day free trial key to tide you over by requesting one from the nBill website.

You can download and install the component without a license key, but you will be prompted for a key the first time you use it.

Important! Make sure you request a license key for the correct 'live site' value

When requesting a free trial license key, or when purchasing a license key, you must ensure you enter the correct value for the 'live site' setting. Please read this page before you request a license key.
