This language pack contains the front end files only in Polish, encoded in iso-8859-1. Use this pack if you have a standard installation of Joomla 1.0. Not all Polish characters can be displayed using this encoding, so plain latin characters will appear instead. For full support for all Polish characters, you will need to upgrade to Joomla 1.5 and use the UTF-8 language pack.

This language pack contains the front end files only in Polish, encoded in UTF-8. Use this pack if you have Joomla 1.5, Mambo 4.6, or if you have a modified version of Joomla 1.0 that uses UTF-8 encoding. As long as your website uses UTF-8 encoding, all characters should appear correctly if you use this pack. However, if you use a default installation of Joomla 1.0, you will need to use the iso-8859-1 version of this language pack (which will not show all Polish diacritics, but should still be readable).

Wenn Sie Fehler finden, melden Sie sich bitte bei  ryser <at> jorynet.com, damit ich die Korrekturen einbauen kann. Wenn Sie Korrekturen selber in die Sprachdateien eintragen könne, umso besser. Ein Hinweis noch: Als Schweizer habe ich möglicherweise einige in Deutschland ungebräuchliche Ausdrücke verwendet, so z.B. Offerte statt Angebot. Ich hoffe, dass die Übersetzung für Sie trotzdem von Nutzen ist. Auch habe ich auf das in der Schweiz nicht gebräuchliche Zeichen 'ß' verzichtet und, wie nach schweizerischer Rechtschreibung vorgesehen, 'ss' geschrieben.

NOTE: AS A SWISS I USED SOME WORDS THAT ARE PROBABLY NOT SO COMMON IN GERMANY, SUCH AS THE WORD 'OFFERTE' INSTEAD OF THE RATHER GERMAN-GERMAN 'ANGEBOT' – BUT THAT SHOULD AFFECT VERY FEW WORDS ONLY. I ALSO FOLLOWED THE SWISS ORTHOGRAPHY WHEN I USED 'SS' INSTEAD OF 'ß'.
